Catalyze Adds Battery Storage Expertise with Integration of Prisma Energy Solutions
January 25, 2021Catalyze has increased its Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) offering by integrating the capabilities of Prisma Energy Solutions (PES). This additional expertise will allow Catalyze to more seamlessly provide integrated renewable energy systems that include storage for our customers.
Formerly, PES focused on a short-term equipment leasing model for stand-alone BESS customers and through this integration Catalyze will now be able to combine on-site generation through solar, deeper BESS expertise and longer term contracted revenue agreements with customers to create better economic value for all stakeholders.
In addition to their experience in the storage market, PES also has long-term master agreements with several OEMs with favorable pricing in place. This allows Catalyze to control pricing, mitigate supply chain risk, and have a more active role in the BESS container integration, which is key to our behind-the- meter strategy with large portfolio customers.
With the combined team, a critical mass of talent is now available to focus on procuring and integrating different components which can be configured into standard offerings for both current and new customers, which is essential for rapid and scalable deployment.
Operations will continue as usual during the integration. Prisma Energy’s staff is joining Catalyze and President Rob Cauthen is taking on a senior leadership role on the executive team where he will focus on the integration of Catalyze’s corporate acquisitions in various regions of the US.
2021 was already going to be a banner year for Catalyze thanks to our volume of projects and new customers. The addition of the Prisma team greatly strengthens our position in the market, allowing us to execute with certainty and velocity while providing increased value to customers and stakeholders.
